LCANZ AGM and SBN “BIG Think” Workshop

Please join us for this year’s LCANZ AGM on 28th July in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Before attending the AGM we invite you to a workshop (“The BIG Think”) for LCANZ members with the Sustainable Business Network (SBN) about new approaches to business transformation.

“‘The BIG Think” is a series of workshops around NZ in which you are encouraged to think about challenges and opportunities towards a circular economy, that minimises waste and uses all resources efficiently. The project aims to come up with new solutions, practical steps and innovative businesses approaches for a more sustainable future. The specific workshop for LCANZ members will allow us to focus on feedback and discussions from a life cycle thinking point of view. The workshop will take approximately an hour.

The workshop was created by SBN’s UK partner Forum for the Future, one of the world’s leading sustainability organisations, to identify steps to bring about a big shift in the way we do business for a more sustainable future. It is already used in organisations in different sectors around the world. The model uses simple, practical steps to map problems, identify solutions and embed change. It’s a simple and effective way to identify practical ways of bringing about change. More information about The Big Shift project can be found at http://sustainable.org.nz/conference-2014/thebigshift/.

Come and join us if you want to be part of a move to transform New Zealand’s business future.

After the workshop, we invite everyone to attend the LCANZ AGM, which will be followed by time to meet and network with people with similar interests. Non-members are more than welcome to join so feel free to invite interested friends and colleagues.

Date: 28th July
